Fundraising and Sponsorship

Our experience has developed from having to find ways to make things happen when we have been in positions within companies and found ourselves budget light but marketing opportunity rich.

Our approach to fundraising and sponsorship is one of partnership. The relationship has to be a mutually beneficial one with clear objectives and ‘win win’ approach for all parties from the sponsor or charity. We work on the principle of ‘fish where the fish are with the right fly’... helping people make the most of their existing contacts and identifying how to find new audiences. Then together we create innovative and cost effective ideas to make it happen.

Grayshott Spa 40 Anniversary Book – suppliers and product houses contributed to be part of the celebration of 40 years of England’s leading spa that coincided with the rejuvenation of the spa and relaunch event at Asprey in London. Their sponsorship enabled the production of a book telling the story of Grayshott through the eyes of the staff, therapists and guests with foreword by Dame Judy Dench. The sponsors deal was product placement and acknowledgement with marketing opportunities throughout the launch period. Last line deleted

The Friends of The Castle of Mey – Piledrivers were asked by the Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust to set up the Friends to raise funds and create awareness of the castle and visitor centre in the UK and internationally. A 3 tier membership for sponsors, patrons and friends has raised funds over the past 4 years through events and clever ideas such as building a tower of bricks in the garden of The Goring to build a turret in the garden for visitors to view the gardens which raised £46,000. Honorary patrons include Alan Titchmarsh and Lady Elizabeth Anson and founding sponsors were Sunseeker, Jaguar and Landrover. The Friends of the Castle of Mey was launched at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show at the Silver Medal winning Scottish garden sponsored by Kinnaird Hotel & Sporting Estate – another Piledrivers client.

Princess Royal Trust for Carers – working with PRTC, Macdonald Hotel’s charity, Piledrivers created the launch events for the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel following a major refurbishment and re positioning of the hotel as the flagship 5 star property of the group. An afternoon tea for the local carers groups hosted by Lynda Belligham and Lorraine Chase was followed by a black tie and tiara fundraising dinner attended by HRH The Princess Anne, press and VIPs in aid of the charity. Through the relationship we introduced Draycott Nursing who celebrated their 10 anniversary year with an event, auction and carol service in aid of the PRTC.

Flemings Hotel Pink Afternoon Tea & Breakthrough Breast Cancer Booby Birds – created the ‘Pink Afternoon Tea’, at Flemings Hotel, with a donation to Break through Breast Cancer. Objective, to raise awareness of the hotel and to help raise £25k for the  Keeper of Art at the Fleming Collection, a marketing partner of Flemings Hotel, to take part in a charity parachute jump. The Pink Afternoon Tea was the theme for a fashion show and auction hosted by the hotel, and Gold Medal winning central feature at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010.
